FFA Hosts Annual Pumpkin Patch
FFA students got into the Fall spirit as they hosted their 4th annual pumpkin patch for the Elementary school. The FFA chapter filled a large section of the West Elk campus with 25 fall-themed activities, which was double the amount of 12 that was offered the year prior. FFA uses this event for the ability to educate the younger students of what they learn and apply in Agriculture class. Demonstrations were given on PTO/heavy equipment safety, animal production was displayed through a petting zoo, and children took a short hayride to select their harvested pumpkins.
