West Elk Senior Madelyne Koop signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball with Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS.  Koop, a 5'10 forward, averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Patriots and reached the 1000 point career mark with West Elk after playing her first two seasons at Eureka. 

Presenting the scholarship offer was Tabor Head Coach Shawn Reed.  Reed has led the Blue Jays to a Sweet 16 and two Elite 8 in six NAIA National Tournament appearances over the past nine seasons posting a 187-100 overall record.   Koop became the fifth West Elk hoopster in the past three years to sign a NLI to pursue an athletic career at the collegiate level under the direction of West Elk Head Coach Dave Miller.
