Severy Elementary School is located in Severy KS. It was constructed in 1952. Renovations in 2005: new carpeting throughout the building, windows, redesigned office area, multipurpose room and music room.

West Elk High School

West Elk offers a comprehensive course curriculum. In addition, Vocational programs are offered in Business, Family and Consumer Science, Agriculture, Trade/Industry/Woods /Drafting, and Photography. Virtual class offering enhance the course offerings for Juniors and Seniors. The building has met the AYP standards for Math and Reading every year since NCLB has been initiated. The Standard of Excellence has been awarded in Reading to the Junior High and 11th Grade. Computer technology, both wireless and wired is available for students through two labs in the Business department and one lab in the library. Activities and Athletics are offered at both Junior High and Senior High School. Scholars Bowl, Forensics, Math Teams, FCCLA, FFA, FCA, All-School Play enhance the students activity choices. Athletics include: volleyball, football basketball, wrestling, track, softball, and baseball. |
Moline Elementary
416 N. Plum/PO Box 306 Moline, KS 67353 620-647-3288 Moline Elementary is located in Moline, KS and was originally constructed in 1927. 2004 renovations: lab/ media center, handicap accessible restrooms, & elevator. The remodeling allows movement throughout the entire second floor.

Elementary Dual Features Both schools are a Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade Title I facility. Computer labs assist students with today’s technology needs. Pearson Reading and Math comprehensive K-8 software is utilized. Student services for both schools include: Music, Physical Education, Title I Reading and Math. Special Education: Behavior, Learning Disabilities, Gifted, Speech Therapy, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Student Counseling, Vision and Hearing Assessment and At-Risk Services are provided. Assessments related to No Child Left Behind (NCLB), State assessment, and NWEA are completed annually to provide accurate academic guidance. The average classroom size is 12 students. Both schools consistently meet the Standard of Excellence in Reading and Math. |
